Training Update

I haven’t shared my marathon training lately, so here’s a brief recap.
  • As mentioned, my 18-miler was tough. I did feel great the next day though.
  • I went to Jazz Fest and managed to get a blister on the pad of my foot. I had to have run funny from it because I suffered several days of serious foot pain afterwards. Again.
  • The foot pain is pretty much gone. Again.
  • RF is healthy and running strong again.
  • I figured out a short, but stupidly steep hill in Fort Snelling is at about mile 17.
  • The tree pollen is out and wreaking havoc on my breathing.
  • Last weekend’s 20 miler was tough with the tree pollen. We finished though and again my muscles felt good the next day.
  • It’s downhill in mileage from here! I’m a bit worried about the up hills in the marathon though.
