Success in the Kitchen

random
A few indicators of a successful kitchen at the bazaar:

  • All the chili was sold
  • None of the cinnamon buns burned and they even looked and tasted good
  • A vegetarian made an exception for our chili
  • The coffee pot that burst into flames didn’t damage anything or hurt anyone
  • The helpers had a good time. Even Pastor Jack:

Yea! I'm glad to hear the Bazaar was successful -- especially since I helped make chili (ok, cleaned up after the cooks:) and apple crisp for the kitchen.

Oddly, there was a cooking fire incident where I was on Saturday morning too. Unfortunately, the flames from the bacon in the broiler did a doosey of a job on my friend's thumb. Was I destined to be present at a burning event whereever I was? Perhaps ... it seems very Sliding Doors-ish.

Cheers to the kitchen crew!

Flaming coffee pots? You have very exciting Bazaars! :) So, how does one go about setting a coffee pot on fire?

No one commented on that handsome gentleman in the picture with you, So I will. What a handsome gentleman in the picture with you. Is he available to supervise my kitchen any time soon?

The coffee pot was quite old and seemed to just melt through its protection on the wires. Sparks - flames - excitement!
And that handsome guy in the picture -- he doesn't supervise anymore. He only does dishes now...

Handsome, indeed! In fact, it may interest your readers to know that Jack felt compelled to grow a beard because people were always mistaking him for Paul Newman. Or so Jack says--with a staight face!--to anybody who will listen...!
